Cause description
Olive Tree Education and Solidarity Association (ZAYDER) president Rabia Özcömert's son passed away from kidney failure. Ms. Özcömert founded the Olive Tree Education and Solidarity Association to support other mothers, with the dream of keeping children away from needles and pain. Zayder responded to 16,000 applications across the island. While creating social visit reports during home visits, it was revealed that women were in poverty because they have no means of transportation, lack of education or had to take care of a sick relative. The association, started to organize and establish workshops across the island to empower women and reveal the hidden workforce by encouraging production. Within the scope of the project, we aim to purchase 3 hemming, 1 button and 1 printing machines and provide these machines to these women working in our workshop atelier.
